Sony will skip 2020 E3 and is likely to launch its own media show

Sony is skipping E3 again, as the launch date for its next-generation console, PlayStation 5 during the 2020 holiday season. This is the second time, Sony has skipped the E3 media show, ahead of its launch day.

A History of E3

E3, short for Electronic Entertainment Expo, is a media show event in Los Angeles for gamers, where the new titles, software, devices, are introduced for gamers.

Not only this, the show also features new experience, exhibitor spaces, programming, updates, and partnership with other vendors.

When will PlayStation 5 release then?

There’s no saying when will Sony launch the new console. There were many rumors that Sony was planning to launch this console on E3 2020.

“WE DO NOT FEEL THE VISION OF E3 2020 IS THE RIGHT VENUE FOR WHAT WE ARE FOCUSED ON THIS YEAR.”

Now with this statement, it is expected that the company will launch its own consumer media show. Many companies like Microsoft, Apple, and Samsung have their own product launch shows.

It is expected that Sony will do the same. This news also clarifies that all the new titles will be playable on PlayStation 4. This includes one of the most anticipated games of 2020, The Last of Us Part 2. The event is expected to happen in the summer of 2020.
