admin Xiaomi just unveiled the Mi Air 2S wireless earbuds, which is proven to be the best budget headset in the market.
This is an improved version of the previous headset and promises to deliver 24 hours of battery life. They are currently available in china but it is expected to be released globally in the coming weeks.
The earbuds feature a 14.2mm chipset that power all the internals of the device. The wireless system is supplied over Bluetooth 5.0 using LHDC. This technology is used by most $100+ earbuds but Xiaomi managed to deliver these services at $55.
To reduce the connectivity issue in the earbuds, each headset features its own internals. This also gives you the freedom to use one device at a time.
The earbuds come in a wireless case that supports Qi Wireless charging with USB-C connectivity. The buds can last up to 5 hours and combine with the case, you will get a total of 24 hours of runtime.
Apart from this, there was no active voice cancellation which we would not have expected in this price range. But Xiaomi uses in-build software and microphone for voice cancellation and it works most of the cases.
There is also an IR sensor in the earbuds that pause the audio whenever you take off the buds. The price of the buds is just $55 and it is expected to launch globally in the coming weeks.
