After recently adding some tags Twitter has now launched a service that will turn red and mark specified content as false information.
At the same time, the word ‘harmful and misleading’ will be added below. Some of the samples were also released by Twitter. Twitter has said that the move has been taken under the same Wikipedia style, in which users themselves will be invited to correct and respond to any misleading and inaccurate news.
Journalists and researchers will be invited to tag and tweet these orange and red tags on specific tweets. Public figure, politicians and other important personalities will also help correct such misleading content.
This feedback and correction will be given just below the tweet for which the Community Reports feature is being added. The purpose is to prevent Twitter and other parties from using the device as a weapon, but it is unknown whether the option will continue with the tweet or add it to a user complaint.
It is also learned that despite all the scams, there are still fake account bots on Twitter designed to spread false information.
The leaked demo features bright red and orange badges for tweets that have been deemed “harmfully misleading,” in nearly the same size as the tweet itself and prominently displayed directly below the tweet that contains the harmful misinformation.https://t.co/TciYv430l6 pic.twitter.com/xafDO29e8M
