The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has banned five dating apps and live streaming websites, including ‘Tinder’ and ‘Se Hai’.
According to the PTA statement, in view of the unethical, rude and negative effects of the said applications, PTA directed the management of the platforms to terminate the dating services and moderate the live content in accordance with the local laws of Pakistan.

The statement said that the platforms did not respond to the notices within the appointed time and therefore the authority has issued orders to close the said applications.

According to the statement, the PTA may reconsider its decision if it is assured by the management of the companies to moderate the immoral and obscene content in accordance with the local laws under an appropriate strategy.
