TCL’s new foldable smartphone has already created a lot of hype for their foldable smartphone, a new hinge design, better screen, and amazing performance are on their way to the consumer market.
In the world of smartphones, foldable is the new genre. More and more companies are launching foldable concept phone that is just changing the smartphone industry. These are a new type of Screen panel that bends and provide a tablet-like interface.
Samsung Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, Huawei Mate X and now the TCL Foldable Smartphone. The company has just announced two new foldable smartphone designs that are more flexible than any other smartphone we have seen so far. The one phone is folding in three portions and the other is rolling the display underneath the body.
The display is the most important component of these smartphones. The panel of the devices is developed by TCL-SCOT. It is a 6.65″ flexible AMOLED panel that can expand to 10″ tablet with an aspect ratio of 20:8:9 and 3K resolution.
There is two hinge design in these smartphones, Butterfly and Dragon Hinge. Using the butterfly hinge, the device can enable a triple bend form factor. The second phone is even more manufacturing gem, the bends on the sideways and comes from underneath the device.

This is a 6.75″ rollable AMOLED display that can expand up to 7.8″. In the video, we can see that the concept is motorized and doesn’t allow pull-push motion. The price and internals of TCL foldable smartphone are not revealed by the company.
