Remember the legendary device of 2018, Pocophone F1? Well, we have some great news for you.
Since its early release date of almost two years ago, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 remained as the king of all devices in 2018. It was the first device of its kind that features a high-speed processor Snapdragon 845 in the price tag of $300.
Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain earlier today tweeted that Pocophone is not a sub-brand of Xiaomi now. We’re creating a new brand ‘Poco’ which will launch its own competitive devices in the market.
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.

The company also filed a trademark application for Pocophone F2, so fingers crossed. Prior to this, there are many rumors that Poco F2 will feature a 5G chipset, along with all the killer performance features at an extremely low price.
