The race for more compact chipsets is getting a boost with Unisoc T7520 chipset, the first chipset built on 6nm. Last year we had a 7nm chipset holding the recording of the most compacted chipset in the market. However, now Unisoc T7520 is now the new smallest chipset in the market.
This modern chipset has the ability to save power up to 8% and has a transistor density increased by 18% as comparedto the last EUV process.
The CPU of T7520 contains Cortex-A76 cores along with four A55 cores. The GPU is Mali-G57, which is capable of 4K display resolution with HDR+. Moreover, the chipset has a refreshing rate of 120Hz.
The T7520 comes with four core ISP that can manage 100MP images and are fully capable of multi-camera setups. The modern NPU gives you a performance optimization of 50% per watt as compared to the last generation.
The most essential feature of this chipset is that it has a built-in 5G modem. This feature gives the chipset the ability to support SA, mmWave, sub-6GHz and NSA modes.
The modem can reach an upload speed of 3.25Gbps on mmWave in SA mode. The built-in modem helps the chipset to save upto 35% of power as compared to the chipsets with an external modem. The chipsets with external modem include Exynos 990, and Snapdragon 865.
