Apple has long been the third-largest smartphone maker but has beaten both Samsung and Huawei for at least a quarter.
According to the Strategy Analytics report, Apple beat Samsung in the sale of phones in the fourth quarter of 2019.
In fact, Apple announced yesterday that in the fourth quarter of 2019, the company broke all old revenue records. From October to December 2019, Apple shipped 70.7 million iPhones worldwide, while the number of Samsung smartphones stood at 68.8 million.
According to the report, Apple topped the global smartphone market share with a 19 percent increase, Samsung and Huawei are second in the lineup with a 15 percent share.
This is because of the success of Apple’s iPhone 11, which people loved a lot, the company sold 7% more phones in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Overall, Samsung has been ranked 1st in sales of smartphones in 2019, while Huawei is 2nd, Apple 3rd, Xiaomi 4th, and Oppo ranked at the 5th position.

Huawei is the world’s second-largest smartphone company in 2019, but the effects of US sanctions impact the overall reputation of the company in the global market.
During the 9 months of 2019, Huawei’s phone sales saw an increase, but the fourth quarter was low compared to the last quarter with a 7.4% decline.
Overall smartphone sales saw a slight decline in 2019 and stood at 2.2% compared to 2018.
