A fresh leak is showing the windows 10`start menu and this news is making rounds on the internet.

The twitter image announces an end to the live tiles on the Windows 10`s start menu. Many tech magazines and tech followers were already expecting this change. Later on, this news was confirmed through a twitter post. This is going to be a huge change to the Windows 10`s start menu if this new is confirmed by Microsoft.

Live tiles are app icons that showed up on windows start menu to give the user notification about any email or other information pertaining to the apps. Live tiles were sort of convenience for many people, they liked to open apps after getting a notification from the live tiles.

However, in the last few months, many applications stopped updating their live tiles, which seems a possible reason to end live tiles. It is important to note that the news about ending live tiles is still in a rudimentary stage. The authenticity of the new depends on the authentication of the twitter post.

When will the new start menu come?

In the first place, there is no such dates or time for the launching or coming of this new start menu in Windows 10. However, if we get any authentic response from the Microsoft officials on the leaked image about the new start menu, only then only we can know about its coming.

The new update to the windows 10, known as Windows 10, 2004 update, is already in use. In this version of windows 10 the live tiles still show up, this thing weakens the chance of killing live tiles in the new updated version of windows 10.

Live tiles ? pic.twitter.com/RzOnhOIcmw

— Aggiornamenti Lumia (@ALumia_Italia) February 29, 2020

We are getting news from Microsoft officials that there will be a minimal change to the windows in the coming update, which is expected in the later months of 2020. Minimal changes mean that the news about eradicating live tiles from the start menu seems to not happening in this update.

However, if there is any planning about ending live tiles is going on, it will be added to the update of 2021 or later ones. It is expected from Microsoft that they will introduce some positive changes to the start menu.

I hope, they will consider the easiness that live tiles impart to the use of different apps in windows before ending them. Moreover, if they remove them then there will be some alternatives available to make the start menu look good.

Dark Mode has become a popular feature for many users, offering a sleek and modern look while reducing eye strain during low-light usage. In Windows 10, enabling Dark Mode is simple, and it enhances the overall user experience by turning bright interfaces into darker, more comfortable visuals. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use Dark Mode in Windows 10, along with its benefits, customization options, and troubleshooting tips.

Why Use Dark Mode in Windows 10?

Before diving into how to enable Dark Mode in Windows 10, it’s essential to understand why you might want to use it:

1. Reduced Eye Strain

Dark Mode reduces the glare from bright backgrounds, making it easier on the eyes, especially in low-light environments. This is particularly helpful for users who spend long hours in front of a screen.

2. Battery Efficiency

If you’re using a laptop with an OLED or AMOLED display, Dark Mode can help save battery life, as darker pixels require less power.

3. Modern Aesthetic

Dark Mode gives Windows 10 a sleek and stylish appearance, aligning with modern design trends. It also makes colors and images pop against the dark background.

How to Use/Enable Dark Mode in Windows 10

You can use Dark Mode as the default look in Windows 10 operating systems as well as in many Windows apps. However, it is not possible to change some older Windows apps like Task Manager to black. If you want to use Dark Mode in Windows 10 and its apps, here’s the procedure.

How to Customize Dark Mode in Windows 10

While you now know how to use Dark Mode in Windows 10, there are customization options to enhance your experience:

1. Custom Mode

Windows 10 also offers a Custom option under the color settings. This allows you to mix and match Dark and Light themes. For example:

Set the Windows interface to Dark Mode while keeping apps in Light Mode.

Conversely, you can set apps to Dark Mode while keeping the Windows interface in Light Mode.

To do this:

Under Choose your color, select Custom.

Choose Dark for Default Windows Mode and Light for Default App Mode, or vice versa.

2. Accent Colors

You can further personalize your Dark Mode by changing the accent colors:

In the same Colors section, scroll down to Accent color.

Choose a color from the palette or click on Custom color for a more personalized choice.

Enable the option Show accent color on Start, taskbar, and action center to add a splash of color to your Dark Mode.

How to Enable Dark Mode in Microsoft Apps

Once you’ve learned how to use Dark Mode in Windows 10, you might also want to enable it in Microsoft applications such as:

1. Microsoft Edge

With the end-of-life spectrum of Windows 7, millions of users around the world are missing Windows 7. But it’s a good habit to move on, and try something new that shares more credibility and privacy solutions. You can change your Windows 7 OS to Windows 10, but the reverse is not possible.

Windows 10 – A new Journey

Windows 10 is a lot more different if compared to Windows 7. Such as the interface is different, menus, icons, even the famous Start button is different. What if you want to run your old Windows 7 interface on Windows 10? What if you wanted to bring back the good old Start button?

Don’t worry, by following some guidelines, you can actually do this. In this post, we’ve shared how you can change your Windows 10 interface to Windows 7.

Get the Wallpaper

First of all, we’ve to focus on your desktop interface – which is Icons and wallpaper. Windows 7 wallpapers are easily available on the internet. Just match your screen resolution with it, and download and save the image on your PC. The next step is to change icons. Right-click on the Desktop and select ‘Personalize‘. Now search for Icon, and change them. You can change all icons or just the useful ones like This PC, My documents, etc.

Bring the Start Menu back

Microsoft tried to rid of the start menu in the Windows 8 update. In return, it became one of the most demanded features by windows users. Now with windows 10, it’s back again. But not like your traditional windows 7 appearance. To bring the old vibes, you have to install a third-party software called Open-Shell-menu.

Don’t worry, this program is completely safe from malware or viruses. Launch the program on your PC, click the tab ‘Start Menu Style‘. Here select ‘Windows 7 Style‘ and click the ‘OK‘ button. This program will bring the classic Windows 7 Start Menu, and start button back.

Recreate the Aero Theme

Now the third step is to bring back the attractive aero theme. Open Shell Menu can help you to get the appearance. Launch the application, and under the ‘Skin‘ tab, choose ‘Windows Aero‘ from the drop-down list.

Startup Sound

Lastly, its time to bring back the windows 7 sound. Download the Windows 7 Startup Sound, and convert it into WAV format. Now press the windows logo+R button an type ‘regit‘. On the top left corner, select HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Make sure you have the Admin privileges. Now navigate to AppEvents > EventLabels > WindowsLogon and double-click on ‘ExcludeFromCPL‘. Here change the value of ‘1’ to ‘0’, and closet the registry editor. Now go to the control panel and search for Sound, here select the Windows audio option.

Under the ‘Sound control panel‘, click the ‘sound‘ tab and mark the option ‘Play Windows start-up sound‘. Here you’ll see an option ‘Windows Log On‘, select it, browse the sound you’ve just downloaded. After doing all this, click the ‘Apply‘ button and restart your PC.
