It is not the only situation when the iPhone users delete the cache of different apps when there is a storage shortage. Most of the people delete cache for two reasons, first it free ups space in your phone, and secondly your phone performance increases.

This article will help you to know about the procedure on how to delete the twitter cache. Twitter allows iPhone users to delete the cache directly through the twitter app. This helps you to get free from unnecessary data present in your phone in the form of GIFS, images, videos, or memes.

Why Should You Clear Twitter Cache on iPhone?

Over time, the Twitter app stores temporary data, such as images, videos, and web cookies, to enhance your browsing experience. While this makes the app load faster, it also accumulates unnecessary files that take up valuable storage space on your iPhone. Clearing the cache helps maintain optimal app performance and keeps your device running smoothly. Here are some key reasons to clear Twitter cache on your iPhone:

Free Up Storage Space: Cached files, especially images and videos, can consume significant storage space over time.

Improve App Performance: Clearing the cache helps the app run more smoothly and reduces lag or crashes.

Fix Loading Issues: If tweets, images, or videos aren’t loading correctly, clearing the cache can resolve these problems.

Enhance Privacy and Security: Deleting cached web data and cookies helps protect your personal information.

Refresh App Experience: It removes outdated data, ensuring you see the most recent content without glitches.

How to Delete Twitter Cache -iOS

Here are the simple steps to get some free space in your iPhone and improve its performance by deleting twitter cache.

Open your Twitter app on your mobile, and click on the profile icon on the left top corner. The other away to reach your profile is right swipe anywhere on the screen after opening the twitter.

Look for the option “Setting and Privacy” in the list.

In the “General” section, you will find the option “Data usage” tap on it.

Now, in the labels under the “storage” heading, you will how much space is occupied by your twitter app for data cache.

Press on each cache and then you will get “Clear media storage” or “Clear web storage” option. Use this option to delete the cache.

Alternative Method: Offloading or Reinstalling Twitter

If clearing cache through the app doesn’t free up enough space or you’re still experiencing performance issues, consider offloading or reinstalling the app.

Option 1: Offload Twitter App

Offloading an app removes the app itself but keeps its data intact. When you reinstall it, all your settings and data are restored.

Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

Scroll down and find Twitter.

Tap on it and select Offload App.

Once completed, tap Reinstall App.

This method frees up space but keeps your account and saved data safe.

Option 2: Delete and Reinstall Twitter App

This option removes all cached data, freeing up the most space. However, you’ll need to log back into your account afterward.

Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

Locate and tap on Twitter.

Select Delete App.

Go to the App Store, search for Twitter, and reinstall it.

Log back into your account.

This method effectively clears all cache and temporary files.

I hope, using the method you can add some spice to your iPhone and use it in a fruitful manner to enjoy some songs or other things.

How to Check Storage Usage on iPhone

To see how much space Twitter is consuming before and after clearing the cache:

Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

Scroll down to find Twitter.

You’ll see the total space used by the app, including documents, data, and cache.

This helps you gauge how much space you’ve saved by clearing the cache.

Tips to Prevent Cache Buildup in the Future

To minimize cache buildup and maintain app performance:

Clear Cache Regularly: Make it a habit to clear cache every few weeks.

Limit Media Auto-Download: In Data usage settings, limit auto-downloading of images and videos.

Use Lite Version: Consider using Twitter Lite if you’re low on storage.

Update the App: Always keep your app updated for improved cache management and performance.

These proactive steps can help you manage storage more efficiently.

Conclusion

Clearing Twitter storage cache on your iPhone is an effective way to free up space, enhance app performance, and improve privacy. Whether you use the built-in app settings, offload the app, or reinstall it, these methods ensure that your account data remains safe.

At the same time, the word ‘harmful and misleading’ will be added below. Some of the samples were also released by Twitter. Twitter has said that the move has been taken under the same Wikipedia style, in which users themselves will be invited to correct and respond to any misleading and inaccurate news.

Journalists and researchers will be invited to tag and tweet these orange and red tags on specific tweets. Public figure, politicians and other important personalities will also help correct such misleading content.

This feedback and correction will be given just below the tweet for which the Community Reports feature is being added. The purpose is to prevent Twitter and other parties from using the device as a weapon, but it is unknown whether the option will continue with the tweet or add it to a user complaint.

It is also learned that despite all the scams, there are still fake account bots on Twitter designed to spread false information.

According to the French news agency Statista, Twitter has earned $ 1 billion for the first time, with an 11% increase in advertising revenue by increasing the number of subscribers (more than 32 million).

Stock market share prices have also risen by 8% due to concerns over declining revenue generated by advertising. According to the report, 152 million users (more than 15 million) users use Twitter daily, up 21% over last year.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey says this year has been great for Twitter, and the results show that we have ensured greater ease of use for Twitter in accordance with the new requirements.

Twitter is nowadays trying to counter the pace of major social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and trying to make its website more and more convenient for users.

Experts say the rise in Twitter revenue shows that advertisers‘ confidence in Twitter has increased, and the main reason for this is an average of more than 15 million users using Twitter daily.

Experts also say that the ban on political advertising by Twitter and tightening policy on fake news and rumors have also boosted advertising companies’ trust in Twitter.

The report of the incident was publicly announced by the twitter officials. They expected that a security researcher has abused API feature of twitter. There were some discussions about the possibility of exploitation of this feature in December 2019.

Balic, an expert security researcher, had identified this latent threat but no considerable efforts were made at that time to handle the issue. A difficult situation is created for twitter to answer the pairing ability of this security flaw.

API is able to pair a much number of mobile numbers to their respective twitter accounts, which is more than its intended purpose of usage.

We recently discovered an issue that allowed bad actors to match a specific phone number with the corresponding accounts on Twitter. We quickly corrected this issue and are sorry this happened. You can learn more about our investigation here: https://t.co/Z6Q4geQ8jo

User form Israel and some Arab countries were majorly affected by this incident. Its expected that exploiters might belong to the same regions. It was observed that all those accounts haven`t linked to mobile numbers remained safe in the incident.

Following the incident, twitter has shown some major moves to lead the giant professional social media site to a higher level of security.

In the first place, they have removed all the fake accounts form their site. API feature is modified immediately after the incident, which will surely halt abuse of this feature in the future.

A disappointment has been observed over the security flaw of twitter by many users around the world. This is surely a hard situation for twitter and it will take some time to get things better.

Twitter officials have ensured its users that the incident is identified and required actions are already taken.

After a lot of speculation, Twitter has offered an option to display reactions and messages on each tweet that will look exactly like a stream or thread if a chat or response appeared on a Facebook post.

Although Twitter announced it two years ago and showed a glimpse of it. This option can determine who is following you and who is discussing the conversation starting with the tweet.

We’ve given conversations a makeover on iOS. When people you follow are in a conversation, you’ll see their replies in a new way in your Home timeline.

This new layout makes it easier to see who’s replying to who so you can join in on relevant conversations. pic.twitter.com/xNmnAtQFeI

The beta app is undergoing testing on the Twitter app for iOS and a wide range of replies to tweets are launched on the thread option. The option is still in beta phase and will be launched on Android platform soon.

If Twitter is not happy with the results, forget that this option will ever be included in the app.

The Twitter thread option has been tested by both general users and experts developers and has been running for several months.

If this option becomes part of Twitter messages, you will be able to easily read people’s comments on your tweet. It is expected that people, like Facebook, will spend more time on Twitter.
