The most detailed and intriguing image and video of the sun’s surface have been released in human history. The significance of this image is that the New York Times posted it on its front page.

Boiling plasma can be seen on the sun’s surface. In bright areas, plasma is seen heating up and flying above the sun. On the other hand, the plasma is slightly cooled down in the darker motifs, the darker parts inside the deep impressions are reflecting the sun’s most powerful magnetic field.

These photos were taken by a telescope mounted on the Haleakala hill in the American city of Hawaii. After 10 years of hard work and planning, a powerful 4-meter mirror telescope has been installed here.

Plasma blasting from sun outer layer

The telescope, made with the support of the National Science Foundation, is named Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST). Its mirror is particularly curved, making it one of the most sophisticated solar telescopes in the world.

Read More: Moon soil can now produce Oxygen

Due to its innovation, the telescope can take a clear picture of a location on the surface of the sun that is only 20 to 30 kilometers wide.

Plasma can be seen burning hot in the sun’s surface in the photo and video. The most beautiful part of the photos and videos is that they look very clean.

A detailed image of Sun Surface

But the purpose of the telescope is not just to capture detailed images, the main objective was to observe this star. Scientists will be able to learn a lot about the magnitude of the sun.

So far we are less aware of the sun’s magnetic field. It should be noted that the solar magnetic field affects our Earth by interrupting radial communication, electrical systems, and other matters.

Valentin Pillet, a physicist with the National Solar Research Program at the National Science Foundation, says that this telescope allows us to better understand the outer layers of the sun.

We will also know how the sun and other stars are structured. However, this telescope will support more observations in the next 6 months and more amazing discoveries are expected.
