Counterpoint Research recently posted a report on the most selling smartphone by the manufacturer in the world. Surprisingly with all the criticism from the audience, Apple is still at the top. Apple 6 devices are in the top 10 list with iPhone XR at the top and iPhone 11 claiming the second position.

The statistics of the report are based on market share. iPhone XR has a global smartphone market share of 3% with the iPhone 11 at 2.1% share. The next in the lineup is Samsung Galaxy A50 with 1.8% global sales.

The list of the best selling smartphone by region is also available. On a global scare, iPhone XR only topped the North America Region. In China Oppo A5 and in Europe Samsung Galaxy A50 dominated the lead.

The top 10 smartphones mentioned along capture the 15% market share. 5G smartphones are still a no show in 2019 with 1% sales. It is expected that more and more 5G devices will take the lead in the future.

USB Implementation Forum (USB-IF) made an announcement about awarding Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup with “USB Fast Charger Certification”.

It means that the S20 lineup will have PPS (Programmable Power Supply) compatibility. PPS enables smartphones to manage thermal activities and offer a fast charging experience to the users. Many of the lasted smartphones are already equipped with this feature, and Galaxy S20 lineup is a new addition to the list. PSS featured smartphones work with USB Power Delivery standards.

The fast-charging certified smartphones, Galaxy S20 lineup, will work on non-standard voltages. It means the charging adopter will offer any output voltage as per the demand from S20 smartphones between 5V to 20V voltage ranges.

You will receive your Samsung Galaxy S20 with a 25W USB-PD charger. If you need a 45W charger then you will have to buy this separately. This news will surely make the Samsung users happy, the best fast charging experience is going to be amazing.

There are different fast-charging standard available, Warp Charge by OnePlus, VOOC Flash charger by Oppo, and few others.

All these different fast-charging standards are a confusing thing for the users. This recent move by USB-IF to grant a Fast Charging Standard Certificate to the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup will surely set a single fast-charging standard.

Samsung has the honor of being the largest smartphone sales company in the world, but in recent years, the performance of Huawei and Apple has put the South Korean company at risk of being snatched away.

However, Samsung seems to be the biggest beneficiary of the production problems for Apple and other companies with the spread of the Novel Coronavirus in China, and its plans to manufacture smartphones in the country is under a threat radar.

According to Reuters news agency when the production of Apple and several other companies was affected by the Coronavirus, Over 50% of Samsung’s smartphones are manufactured in Vietnam, and the company has experienced a limited impact from the crisis in China.

Apple announced on Monday (February 17th) that it would fail to meet its revenue targets during the quarter, due to the Coronavirus affecting the sales and manufacture of devices in China.

It should be noted that most of Apple’s iPhones are manufactured in China while sales are also high there. On the other hand, the Chinese company Xiaomi said last week that sales of its devices are likely to be affected during the quarter.

Read More: The Wuhan Coronavirus will also affect the Galaxy S20 supply Chain

Huawei, another major Samsung rival company, has not announced any production problems, but experts believe it may face a major setback as it depends on the product being manufactured in China.

Many companies in China have begun to open their factories after several weeks, but due to the lack of workers and other problems, the manufacturing process is likely to be slow.

Samsung has in recent years adopted a strategy to manufacture devices in countries other than China and therefore does not face problems with Apple and other companies.

“Samsung is currently in a much better position than its rival companies Apple and Huawei, we are fortunate to be able to avoid the risks posed by the virus,” a person familiar with Samsung’s supply chain told Reuters.

Sources associated with Samsung’s Vietnam operation warned that if the virus spreads for long periods of time, then Samsung could also have a negative impact as the company acquires several components from China.

Samsung has to rely on a Chinese manufacturer to manufacture some low-cost phones. “We are doing our best to minimize the impact on the operator,” the company said in a statement.

Read More: Breaking: MWC 2020 Canceled because of the Coronavirus

Samsung ended the process of manufacturing smartphones from China last year, as its market share remained unchanged. Interestingly, other companies being affected by the virus will also have a negative impact on Samsung as the South Korean company provides memory chips and displays for Apple’s iPhones.

In fact, users of Galaxy phones around the world received a notification via Find My Mobile which wrote ‘1’ and another 1 below it. Yes, only 1, and clicking on this notification does nothing but make the notification disappear.

Samsung’s mobile-enabled service lets users search or lock their devices if they forget. Backup data from this service can be stored, synchronized, local data deletion and other functions in Samsung Cloud and this is why this strange notification freak out users. A number of tweets came out in this regard which prompted questions about this notification.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is attracting many tech lovers, for its amazing design and specifications. Foldability comes as the most prominent feature offered by this smartphone.

If you compare Z Flip to the prior foldable phones of any company, one major enhancement is its glass screen. This is a kind of real innovation in this type of phone because mostly a plastic screen is used. No matter, which company`s phone it is.

The improvements, as compared to other Foldable Smartphones

The glass screen is more resistant to scratches and tears. You can make any impressions on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip screen with your fingernails. The users, who have practically examine the phone with their hands say, the screen surface is almost like an unfold-able smartphone screen, strong and compatible.

Samsung has made its best efforts to bring a best-designed foldable phone and to some extent, they have done it. The bezels are much smaller and give a high screen display to bezels ratio.

Like all other foldable smartphones, Flip Z also has a hinge at the folding point, however, the free space around the hinge is smallest of all the foldable phones available so far. This phone is easy to fold, folds smoothly and silently.

To open the phone form its folding position it takes some strength, a little harder to open easily. These improvements make this phone a better option over its rivals present in the market.

How it looks

It is almost a normal size smartphone when unfolded, however, it can fold into a small square shape phone. It looks as amazing when it is folded as it looks in the

unfolded position. You can half fold the phone, use the upper portion to watch a video or take a selfie. Moreover, you can use the whole screen in half fold position. Its entirely unique features make it adorable and easy to carry a smartphone.

A small screen near the rare camera is admirable on the phone. You can see your notifications on this screen when your phone is folded. The screen is almost the size of the area occupied by the rare camera of the phone.

The official look of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phone is finally here. The phone will be launched in the Unpacked 2020 event on February 11.

2020 Oscars are finally finished and as always, the results were unexpected. While everyone is talking about the Best Picture and the best actor, there was a small surprise for tech lovers.

The official teaser trailer for Samsung foldable clamshell device, Galaxy Z Flip is finally here. The device will be revealed to the next of the world on the Unpacked 2020 event on February 11.

The commercial was showcased on the 2020 Oscars event, but some editors managed to take the video. Here’s your first look at the device.

Samsung just showed off the entire Z Flip during its Oscars ad. Small print says screen crease is normal, heh pic.twitter.com/uBesJ0FonT

— nilay patel (@reckless) February 10, 2020

Well, the rumors already suggested the design of the phone. It’s the same as we’ve mentioned in all our recent posts.

In the video, we can see that the device can be folded on a 90-degree angle. Rumors suggest that the design and color scheme of the phone will mostly target the younger female audience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Hands-On Video Leaks ?? pic.twitter.com/PIQF1urBBf

— TechDroider (@techdroider) February 2, 2020

But the thing we don’t know was the small screen available on the back of the phone. We presume that the screen will only show notifications.

Apart from this, there’s no news on the device. For price and official specifications, stay tuned for Samsung Unpacked 2020 event.

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Samsung Galaxy Bloom, the company plans to launch more foldable smartphones in 2020.

The recent Q4 report from Samsung shows a significant amount of decline in the revenue. However, the overall sales of the company have drastically increased. The expert suggests that the decline was due to faulty memory chips and weakness in the display panels of some smartphones.

Other smartphone manufacturers like Huawei, Oppo and Apple have seen a practical amount of increase in the quarterly demand for most gadgets. The overall sales of the mobile communication division reached KRW 107.27 billion, which is the maximum compared to the last 5 years.

As part of the report, Samsung has invested in more foldable display panels for 2020. Samsung estimates that it will sell 5-6 million foldable Galaxy Bloom devices in 2020.

The main outline of the company is to focus more on the flagship and foldable smartphones. Furthermore, Samsung also plans to launch more 5G-capable devices than any of its competitors.
