Google is recently rolling out quite some innovative updates for their Applications. Google Maps was recently redesigned with new app icons.
A list of settings was provided in the icon from the top-right corner, and the hamburger menu was removed completely. The next App to get a complete UI design is the Google Photos App.
The Android Central posted a screenshot for the upcoming updates. The Hamberger menu will be removed from the application and the “Album” tab is redesigned with tons of improvement and will be renamed to “Library”.
The search option is also removed from the top right corner of the screen. A new tab called “Search” is introduced which is more advanced than the previous one. It will showcase your favorite content in a categorized way like videos, selfies, panoramas or portraits shots.
The change is happening on the server-side and the Update release date is not announced. The new Google Gestures also suggest that the hamburger menu will be removed from most applications or will be designed with new guidelines.
