It will be possible to download files very quickly from secure pages only in Google’s web browser Chrome. This announcement was made by the company.
According to the company, it will ensure that secure files are downloaded from secure pages while downloads from mixed content files or non-HTTPS pages will be blocked.
The move is intended to enable the downloading of malware-protected content to ensure the protection of users and will also gradually remove support for insecure downloads.
This update will be introduced in Google Chrome 81 and users will first be warned about mixing content and then blocking it, while downloading all the mix content in Chrome 86 version will be available in October this year.
This update will be introduced later on mobile platforms. According to the company, unsafe downloads are detrimental to privacy and security. Anyone can see what a user has downloaded or can replace a hacker download with a harmful file.

The company said that we expect all unsaved downloads to be stopped. Users will not be aware of which files are safe and which are not in Chrome. If you think a file is unsafe, just manually block it.
