The Motorola Razr fold phone didn’t even last for the amount the company stated in the durability test.
Probably one of the most awaited phones of the century, Motorola Razr phone is finally available for the general audience. But the question that the fans keep asking was that how durable are the hinges of this device.
As of now, there are two foldable phones in the market, Galaxy Fold, and Razr fold. The galaxy fold at the start struggles a lot. But now, its improved and efficient version is available in the market.
The Motorola Razr phone, however, didn’t even last what the developers told us about. The official hinge foldable for this phone was 100,000 times. Unfortunately, it lasted for only 27,000 times.
CNET created a new FoldBot machine, only made for one purpose – Check the durability of foldable phones. The company Livestream this on YouTube and showed that the device only lasted for 27,000 turns.
The American study estimates that an average person checks their phone 52 times a day. According to this calculation, the device will only last for one and a half years.

We can see in the video that the hinge of the device struggles to close but the overall screen and performance of the device are good.
The same test was applied on Galaxy Fold which lasted for 120,000 folds after which its hinge broke.
