HMD Global (which owns the rights to sell Nokia phones), is likely to bring the Android Operating System to feature phones.

This feature phone called Nokia 400 4G has been spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance website, and the highlight of the operating system is the GAFP.

It is not clear whether GAFP is an acronym for which characters, nor has Google officially announced, but Android Apps and Google Assistant may work in it.

Last year it was revealed that a Google team was working on a version of the Chrome browser for Android phones that could work on a touchscreen feature phone.

Google stopped working on the project in September 2019 but reported that the Nokia 400 4G was certified by the BlueTooth Special Interest Group in November 2019.

As of now, KIOS is the only operating system for apps in feature phones, and it seems that Google is now looking to compete in this market so that Android can reach one billion more people.

If Google or Nokia are expected to introduce the Android feature phone in the near future, it could be at the Mobile World Congress this month or even at the annual developer conference of Google.
