If you’ve ever wondered how do you know if an iPhone has a virus, it’s important to understand that while true viruses are extremely rare on iOS, other forms of malicious activity can still occur. Apple’s strict app review process and sandboxed design make infections uncommon, yet iPhones can show signs of compromise such as unfamiliar apps, persistent pop-ups, overheating, rapid battery drain, sluggish performance, or unexplained data usage.

Malware can infiltrate your iPhone through unsafe downloads, malicious websites, phishing links, or compromised configuration profiles that alter normal system behavior. Jailbreaking your device can also weaken Apple’s built-in defenses and increase your exposure to security threats. Recognizing these warning signs and understanding how malware spreads are essential steps toward keeping your iPhone secure, protecting your personal data, and maintaining your privacy.

Even though Apple’s iOS is known for its strong security, it’s still important to stay alert—because no system is completely immune to digital threats. Cybercriminals are always developing new ways to exploit vulnerabilities, trick users, or slip malicious software onto devices. Knowing how do you know if an iPhone has a virus helps you recognize unusual behavior early and take quick action to protect your data and privacy.

Here are the most common red flags to look for:

1. Unusual Battery Drain

If your iPhone’s battery suddenly drains much faster than usual, it could mean a malicious app or process is running in the background.

2. Overheating Issues

Malware often forces the phone to work harder, leading to overheating even when you’re not using resource-heavy apps.

3. Slow Performance

Is your iPhone suddenly lagging, freezing, or crashing apps? A virus or hidden process could be consuming system resources.

4. Strange Pop-ups or Redirects

Seeing pop-ups in Safari or being redirected to unknown websites is a strong sign of adware or malware.

5. Data Overuse

If your data usage spikes unexpectedly, malicious software could be sending information in the background.

6. Apps You Don’t Recognize

Spot an app you don’t remember downloading? That’s a major red flag. Malicious apps often disguise themselves with generic icons.

7. Unauthorized Account Activity

Check your Apple ID, email, or bank accounts for unusual logins. Hackers sometimes gain access via compromised devices.

While Apple’s iOS ecosystem is built with powerful security layers—such as app sandboxing, data encryption, and strict App Store guidelines—there are still ways that threats can slip through. Many users unknowingly expose their devices to risk through unsafe practices, careless downloads, or deceptive online traps. By knowing how viruses, spyware, and other forms of malware can reach an iPhone, you’ll be better prepared to prevent infections before they happen. To fully understand how do you know if an iPhone has a virus, you also need to know how they get there.

1. Suspicious Links & Attachments

Clicking on links in scam emails, fake ads, or text messages can trigger downloads or install malicious profiles.

3. Malicious Profiles

Some malware disguises itself as a “configuration profile.” Installing one from an unknown source can compromise your device.

4. Fake Apps Outside the App Store

Although Apple’s App Store has strict security, sideloading apps or downloading from third-party sources increases risks.

It has a newer build design, display, camera system, and much-improved computing performance. But does it really compete with other smartphones in the range? In this post, we have shared LG style 6 reviews to help you with the ‘Buy it or skip it’ question.

The LG Stylo 6 is nothing like the previous-gen models. It’s a completely new design with a much-improved screen, better color saturation, more brightness nits, and pixel density.

Read More: The LG V60 ThinQ 5G launched with Dual Screen and Snapdragon 865

It is so sleek and well-polished that one can easily misunderstand this for a 2020 flagship smartphone. The Stylo 6 packs a massive 6.8-inches IPS LCD screen with 1080×2460 pixels. The screen has a density of 395 nits with an 82.5% screen to body ratio.

LG Stylo 6Amazon Price $299.99

Now some of you may have a hard time using this smartphone because it has a massive screen compared to the previous model. With its boxed layout and gigantic screen, it feels like you’re holding a brick. But considering that most 2021 stylus-based smartphones are of a large screen, we can make an exception.

The overall quality of the screen is great, the color accuracy is perfect along with brightness contrast out-doors. You will have no problem using this smartphone in direct sunlight.

The phone build quality is manufactured from both plastic and NEG shock, which provide the same level of reliability as Gorilla Glass 3. The glass type back makes it prone to more finger prints. It has a horizontal-bar type camera system with a fingerprint sensor underneath.

The top of the smartphone is clear plastic, with a noise-cancelation microphone. The bottom edge of the phone includes a stylus port, a USB-C charging port, speaker grill, and a headphone jack.
On the left side, you’ll get a Google Assistant button (sort of like Bixby) and a volume rocker, as well as a hybrid Sim/microSD card slot.

On the right side, you will get a power button with a fine touch of clickable location. The phone can stand a minor drop with a much higher resistance on the front-side.

Connectivity

The LG Stylo 6 is available through a number of carrier choices. We’ve tested both the LTE version and the 3G connectivity on this device and it worked surprisingly well. The Wi-Fi connectivity was also stable, and there was no network delay.

Read More: LG announces the K61, K51S, and K41S smartphones

In terms of call quality, both the ear-piece and microphone worked well. We estimate that the upper ear-piece provides approx. 80db. For reference this digit is enough to make the sound on your ear loud, at the same time doesn’t leak it outside phone boundaries. The bottom speakers run at around 90db with a more wide-angle approach for the room.

Cameras

The LG Stylo 6 comes with a circular camera bump, which mounts 3 cameras and a true-tone LED flash. The camera mount features a 13 MP Wide PDAF, 5 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP depth lens.

The cameras of style 6 perform like any other mid-range smartphone. In good light, the shots are crips, color-accurate, and there is more depth of field. However, the camera struggles to provide consistency in the low-light condition.
The 13 MP front-facing camera performs well in good light but struggles to provide consistency in low-light conditions.

Performance

The Style 6 packs Mediatek Helio P35 chipset with 3GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage. Out of the box, you will get 41GB of usable storage. The performance is good and the transitions are smooth. However, if your aim is to go for performance, then this phone is not for you.
LG is also not good in terms of a software update, especially for the mid-range section. There are times when the phone felt slow because of a mediocre chipset and Ram management.

Battery

The LG Stylo 6 can easily handle day to day performance-based task without running out the juice. The massive 4000 mAh battery provided us with an on-screen time of 10+ hours at the end of the day. It can easily last for up to 2 days if you’re a normal user.

Stylus

One of the main highlights of this phone is the stylus. It’s the first smartphone lineup apart from the Samsung Note series that stayed consistent with the stylus from day one. The Stylus of LG stylo 6 is a thin slate, perfect for sketching or writing.
The software integration is also good for the LG Stylo 6. The palm rejection technology of the smartphone prevents it from further happening. There are plenty of options in the Stylus section that you can play around with.

Software

Out of the box, you will get Android 10 running on LG’s UX 9.0. This is a custom made skin that looks very much like Samsung’s One UI. It’s clean, simple and the majority of the settings are customizable.
As for future updates, there’s no news for Android 11. The chipset itself holds us to dream of the newer software update. However, the LG Stylo 5 recently got an Android 10 update so we are optimistic to get it shortly.

Price and Availability

The price of the smartphone varies from carrier to online retailers. The official price of the smartphone is $299.99, but you can get this as low as $ on selected vendors.

LG Stylo 6 Review – Final Update

The LG Stylo 6 is a complete redesign phone that competes very well with other smartphones in the lineup. It has a sleep and compact design, the screen is vibrant and the color accuracy is sharp.
The phone can be challenging for some individuals if you’re a performance-based user. Also, it has a larger screen. But if you set these things aside, you’ll get a beautiful looking phone with a stylus.

More and more devices are indeed shifting towards more waterproof design. This feature is yet to be revealed in entry-level or mid-range devices. The best method for preventing water damage in your phone is to follow precautions right from the start. You can take extra care when you’re near water or just invest in a waterproof pouch. By any other means, if your device has tried to become a champ in swimming (sad react) here are some helpful tips that will help you fix the problem.

Before diving into the actual tips, first, make sure that your device is completely off. If it’s just a splash, there’s a higher chance that your smartphone will survive. If you can see water drops coming out from your smartphone, well, it’s in the last stages. Quickly shake your smartphone to take-out the extra water from your smartphone.

If the phone is automatically switched off, don’t try to turn it on. Check If it’s still running, switch it off. If it comes with a removable battery, take it out. This is mainly because the power in the phone can short circuit with the internal components.

If you do the following things, your smartphone will probably die and require an expensive fix for the turnaround. First of all, don’t frustrate yourself as it will create complexities. Just relax (freak out a little) and be careful. Here are some major failures that you should prevent.

Do not turn on your device if its water damaged

Don’t plug it in to charge

Try not to press any key (including power button or volume rocker)

Do not try to blow into the device. It will push the water further into the body

Store it in a cold surface

Disassemble your device

If your phone comes with a removable battery, take it off. Basically, you have to remove everything that is “user-removable”. Take the sim card, battery and the SD card out. Clean everything with a paper towel.

Now if your phone doesn’t come with a removable battery (which most smartphone does nowadays), and you don’t mind risking the phone warranty, grab some screws and open the back lid. It will help the drying process faster. Try not to damage the phone internals by applying to much force.

Dry the exterior and Interior

Use a paper towel to get rid of the water found in the exterior. Gently rub the internals as they are very sensitive to force.

There are areas that the paper towel can’t access. Try to use anything that suctions the water out. A vacuum cleaner and dry hair will help in this. In terms of a dry cleaner, use the lowest setting, and gently blow the hair. The same goes for the vacuum cleaner.

Your device is still not saved, now comes the hardest part. This part includes leaving your phone in an isolated place for an extended time. A dryer environment will help your phone take out all the extra moisturized particles from the body. A very common practice is to take your phone and place it inside a Ziploc bag full of rice.

The rice is recommended because it is available in most homes. It is a very good particle that absorbs humidity in the air. Among other options, a silica gel pack is also useful. You can easily find them in electronic boxes or shoeboxes. And don’t touch your device for 2-3 days when it’s in the quarantine. Place the jar away from your family and place it in a secure location.

The Moment of Truth

So you have done everything we’ve just mentioned. It’s been more than 2 days since your device is in quarantine. Now comes the moment of truth, slowly walk and take off your device from the rice. Plug the phone in with the wall charger. If it charges, that’s OK. Turn it on and your phone is successfully saved.

Stay on the lookout for any odd behavior like a flickering, sound problem, or a certain feature not working. If your device turns on without any effort, the feature will eventually work too. Now if your device doesn’t turn on, the last resort is to take it to a professional. Mostly water-damaged smartphones are saved with applying a gel material or changing the effective component of each model.

How to prevent your Smartphone from water damage?

Get a water-resistant case: If you have a habit of going near water, invest in a good quality water-resistant case.

Be mindful: Don’t go near the place where the water resides. Hold your phone tighter when you’re near a water surface.

Stop toilet texting: Don’t text or use social media while you’re in the washroom.

Buy a water-resistant phone: Smartphones are becoming more advanced and cheaper with time. If your range is suitable for an IP64 or above rating smartphone, buy it.

Conclusion:

Water damage in smartphones is fairly popular around the world. If you’ve tried all of these methods, and it still doesn’t work. You should accept the mistake and take it to the professional. Hopefully, your smartphone will be fixed. Share with us which method worked for you. Have any question in mind? Drop a comment down below and we’ll help you.

Releasing its quarterly earnings figures a few days ago, Apple confirmed to Lexus that the iPhone 12 series and the new iPad will be introduced later this year. Apple’s new iPhones and iPad models are expected to launch in October. Last year, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro were launched on September 20 in different countries.

In April, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple’s mass production of the iPhone 12 had been delayed for a month. Delays in sub-reports have been attributed to the Coronavirus epidemic, which has slowed down the manufacturing of devices and forced Apple to temporarily close all its retail stores around the world.

The Bloomberg report also said that the global epidemic has made it difficult for Apple experts to travel to China and finalize new iPhones. Apple is expected to introduce 4 new iPhones this year.

Two of the cheaper models will have 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch screens, while the two flagship models will have 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays. All phones will have OLED displays but flagship devices can be given a 120 Hz refresh rate. The new phones will have an upgraded Face Eye system, while according to some rumors, the iPhone may now be equipped with a bigger battery and 3x optical zoom in the cameras.

As in 2019, Samsung introduced 2 phones simultaneously in the Note series, of which the Galaxy Note 20 has a 6.7-inch flat display while the Note 20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display 1440 plus resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

Both have a punch-hole selfie camera in the center and are non-bezel-less, as well as being water-resistant and dustproof like the previous model.

The Galaxy Note 20 has a 4300 mAh battery while Note 20 Ultra has a 4500 mAh battery which is the most powerful battery ever in any Galaxy Note phone. Last year’s model had a 4300 mAh battery. This time the camera systems of both the Galaxy Note mobiles are also quite different from each other.

The Note 20 has a 3-camera setup, with a 12-megapixel main camera with larger 1.8 UM pixels, dual-pixel autofocus, and OIS support. The second camera is equipped with a 64-megapixel sensor that can also be used as a telephoto camera (3x less zoom, 30x space zoom) and 8K video camera.

The third is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, while the front has a 10-megapixel selfie camera in a punch-hole design. In comparison, the Note 20 Ultra also has a 3 camera setup on the back, but it is much better than the Note 20.

It will have a 108-megapixel main camera that can record 8K videos at 24 frames per second, with dual-pixel autofocus replaced by optical stabilization, and phase detection autofocus now paired with laser AF. The need for a 3D flight of sensor camera is gone.

This cheap model of last year’s Pixel 4 flagship phone has introduced in only 1 variation. Google’s Pixel phones are known for their excellent camera setup, and the Pixel 4a is second to none in that it can beat flagship phones despite having single cameras on the front and back.

The phone comes with a 12.2-megapixel camera on the back with dual-pixel technology, HDR support, and OIS. This camera has features like portrait mode, top shot, night sight (for night sky pictures) and auto image and video stabilization.

The front of the phone comes with an 8-megapixel white angle selfie camera with a punch-hole design, and this is the first time Google has adopted this design for a selfie camera. In addition, the phone has a 5.8-inch FHD Plus resolution OLED screen with HDR 60Hz Plus support.

It seems that the Chinese company Huawei’s record regarding the advertisements of its phones is not very good.

In 2018, it faced criticism for advertising its Nova 3 smartphones, and the same thing happened during the promotion of the P30 Pro last year and the P40 Pro this year.

A video was shared on the Chinese social media site Weibo, which included images that Huawei claims were taken from Huawei phones.

But one user noticed one of the images and managed to find the same image on some web searches on the Stock Photos Sharing site, stating when and from which camera the image was taken. In fact, this image was not taken from the Huawei P40 Pro but with a DSLR camera that cost more than $ 3,000.

Following the revelation, Huawei apologized for reacting to the situation. The company said the photos were “marked” by the editor’s mistake and were primarily intended to encourage people to share photos for Huawei’s online gallery.

The company has now updated the video to delete the line that the photos were taken with Huawei phones. Surprisingly, the P40 Pro’s camera has been rated as the best by various technology websites, which helps in taking good pictures.

Compared to the 2016 iPhone SE, this new phone is more similar to the iPhone 8, with a much better camera and the most powerful processor.
