The latest IDC projection report shows that the smartphone industry in H1 2020 will face a loss of 10.6%  in global shipment. The market was supposed to see an increase because of the smartphone growing genre, but the outbreak of the last month shows something else.

This is affecting the overall sale of most smartphone companies. The iPhone 9 or SE2 was supposed to launch in March but is somehow in the hold because of the virus outbreak. The company says that the supplies are very less for smartphones.

The overall scenario is expected to stabilize from the third quarter of the year as the COVID-19 situation hopefully improves and 5G plans pick up the pace globally” – Sangeetika Srivastava, IDC Report
